STANDING BEHIND THE ORPHAN

FOSTER LOVE

Building a village that believes no child is ever lost & every child deserves the love of a family. Together, we can foster hope and spread unending love.

BUILDING A COMMUNITY TO FOSTER LOVE

Every child deserves a family! At Lonely Child Orphanage Foundation, we believe that children of all ages do best in a family setting versus an institutionalized orphanage. Our organization is currently pioneering a new way of care for the orphaned in Uganda, Africa. How? By raising a network of Ugandan foster mothers who are committed to supporting the orphaned or abused children — by raising them as their own!

When a child is brought to our organization, we work to get him or her placed into a loving home as quickly as possible. During the pandemic, our organization took the placement of many teenaged girls and their younger siblings, so that they weren't separated. Pearl Village has been a shelter for these children and has provided a safe home, healthy meals, medical care, and psychological wellness.

“Every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story.

– Josh Shipp

In 2021, we shared the vision to build foster mothers’ a home where they can live securely while taking care of abandoned, orphaned, or abused children. Well, today — that vision is a reality!

Not one, not two, but three homes have been built and are now fostering hope and sharing unconditional love. And three more homes are ready to be built. Lonely Child Orphanage Foundation is continually breaking ground on foster care homes; because of your support!

“I am grateful to be a mother to my new daughters,” shares Jaja Patience (foster mother) as tears fill her eyes. “My purpose on this earth is to serve the Lord, and I know this is part of my opportunity to show these babies love and care for them as my own.”

Jaja Patience has extended her passion to serve by filling the role of a foster mother. Jaja Patience was the first recipient to receive a home built by Lonely Child Orphanage Foundation.

Each foster care home costs approximately $10,000 USD and provides a fully furnished two-bedroom home with a small living area. With your help, it is our goal to continue to build homes and families!

A FOSTER CARE CHILD’S TRUE STORY

When Brenda failed to report to school, the local authorities were immediately contacted.

Mercy's Story

A girl who DECIDED she DESERVED more

The smile on this young girl’s face is miraculous evidence of genuine healing and fierce living. Mercy is 11-years-old and is one amazing little girl. Mercy’s father died when she was a baby and in 2019, she was abandoned by her mother. Mercy was living with her 16-year-old sister, who had recently been raped by a neighbor during the pandemic. The police contacted Lonely Child Orphanage Foundation and brought the two young girls to our campus to live in our transitional living program.

Mercy’s older sister decided to return to her abuser, like many victims do when they are taken advantage of and controlled by their abuser. That is when Mercy decided that she needed to remain with Lonely Child Orphanage Foundation and requested to be separated from her sister.

Our team has seen how Mercy has thrived and found refuge at Pearl Village. Seeking separation from your only family is not easy. Throughout Mercy’s journey at Pearl Village, we’ve seen how God has filled her heart with a joy that only comes through His love. We’ve also seen how this girl lives with an undeniable confidence that is a reminder that nothing is impossible.
